SPARKY CHRISTMAS ISSUE 1969 (UPDATE TO THE PREVIOUS POST)...



In the previous post I said I was going to do a complete gallery of Sparky X-mas covers but this morning a friend of this blog Bruce pointed out that I failed to include the 1969 number! I hereby rectify the glaring omission by showing both covers below :)

    Irmy, is Barney Bulldog the same one as John Bull Dogg? If so, why and when the name change?

    This is what Sparky File compiled by Sparky uber-expert Alan Smith tells us regarding this matter: "Into 1969 and big changes were on the way. <...> `John Bull Dogg` left the back page, only to arrive on the front cover of issue 211 as `Barney Bulldog`.
